The Plug Sliding door complies with European regulations R107 and R118 and Australian standard TS 160. All door systems are manufactured in accordance with the IATF 16949 automotive quality management system and ISO 14001 environmental management systems. This way of working offers stability and reliability in technical and production areas.
The Plug Sliding door opens quickly and smoothly
Unique design and extra safety
The unique design of the Plug Sliding door offers extra safety due to its over center locking system. Because the door leaves lock over the center of the pivot, all the weight of the door leaves is pushed towards the inside of the vehicle. This means that when the doors are closed, it is impossible to open the door leaves manually. In an emergency the passengers can use the emergency button or manual emergency lever to safely exit the vehicle.
The Plug Sliding door seals from the outside instead of the inside like an Inward Gliding door, providing optimal sealing against (road)noise, water and dirt ingress. The vertical stabilizer fitted on the doors makes sure the doors don’t vibrate when in a closed position. The sealing properties and stabiliser make the door system suitable for speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour.

The compact, lightweight design of the 2nd generation mechanism offers high reliability with a minimum of parts. The mechanism is designed to function with a pneumatic or electric actuator which can easily be swapped. This makes the step from pneumatic to electric power very easy. The 2nd generation mechanism is also perfectly suited for low height portals, for example in a double-decker bus.
With well over 1.5 million test cycles, we pride ourselves on the unparalleled quality of our doors. The Plug Sliding door system is overhaul-free and designed to last the life of the bus, providing the lowest life cycle cost. When service is required, key parts are easily accessible from the bottom of the mechanism, making it easy to service.
